Article ID: Q100004

The information in this article applies to:

  • Direct I/O, version 4.0, 4.1

SUMMARY

Despite the fact that little more than 4 GB free disk space exist in the TEMP directory the installer aborts with an error message stating that there is not enough free disk space.

MORE INFORMATION

The self-extracting setup program first checks if there is enough free disk space to unpack all the files the package consists of. Unfortunately the disk space calculation is modulo 4 GB. Therefore all results are in the range 0 to (4 GB - 1).

RESOLUTION

Temporarily fill up the disk until the free space crosses the 4 GB boundary. Then run the setup program again.

STATUS
