This is a great job. I've been using the DDK General/Portio example and making changes to a VDD as necessary for projects of mine.
But this blows that away ...by far.

My only complaint is that I didn't find direct-io sooner!
I tried several far more complicated ways to deal with this issue and still did not succeed.
I didn't actually think a program so simple would do the job, but much to my delight, it did!!

Direct-IO is a fine product, and with the True Serial Port Sharing feature, you have solved my problem!
